Out door Museum , Monuments & Fort Bulnes

This guided tour is designed also for blind and visually impaired people. The tour begins with a visit to Fort Bulnes that is located 40 miles south from Punta Arenas driving over mostly paved roads, skirting the Strait of Magellan. The fort was the first stablishment in Patagonia, in 1843 when the Vessel Ancud with Captain Williams came from Chile in order to take possession of the Strait of Magellan. For blind visitors it will be interesting because they can touch the replica of this fort, feel the wind and the birds that live on this place.
Once we finish the visit of the Fort, we`ll drive back to town to go stop in a Restaurant and taste the Patagonian Lamb or the exquisite Kingcrab. After lunch we`ll visit the Memorial Museum where the guests will be able to touch some chosen objects, such as the engine machine, the Shearing Shed, and many other pieces of the museum dating from the 19 th century. Then we will visit the most famous monument in this region, the Shepherd.
At the Plaza de Armas Square visitors will be able to touch the Magellan Statue.
Pablo Neruda's Poems written in Braille will be available for the visitor.

The Magellan Forest Reserve & Parque del Ñandu
Duration: Approximately 6 hrs.

The Reserve is located 15 minutes driving away from downtown.
This beautiful protected area has great hiking and biking trails among untouched forest of beech tree, with a spectacular view of the Strait of Magellan and the famous island of Tierra del Fuego. There's a special view point accessible for wheel chair and information in Braille for blind visitors.
After the forest reserve we will head north to visit the ”Parque del Ñandu”, a sheep farm that offers lunch services and it has a mini zoo with some of the native species of Patagonia and and some introduced as the ostrich. For lunch we'll taste the Patagonian lamb barbecue and some homemade chocolates.

City Tour & Penguin Reserve
Duration: Approximately 6 hrs.

Enjoy a sightseeing tour in Punta Arenas by visiting the museums and the highlights as the viewpoint and the main square. After the city tour we'll head northwest, 40 miles from Punta Arenas, over mostly unpaved roads, across huge typical sheep farms in order to visit the Penguin Reserve. To reach the nest and beach where the penguins live, you need to walk approximately ¾ mile each way.

Pali-Aike National Park
Duration: Approximately 8 hrs.

It is located 196 km from Punta Arenas. We will head north-east across the Patagonian steppe, skirting the Strait of Magellan in most parts. On this tour we'll hike to appreciate the lava formations and an amazing landscape that host a diverse fauna including the grey fox, the llama-like guanaco, and many species of birds such as the ostrich-like Ñandú, Upland goose, falcons, and others.
